CINDY BROWN-DANNER

(OIDS), gets an appellate victory in the Horn case, supra.  Reversal in Lewd Acts case where polygraph evidence and prosecutor attempting to define reasonable doubt convinced the court to order a new trial.  Outstanding job, Cindy! \

08.22.05 (OIDS) for her appellate win in the Barnard case. It's not often that COCA is convinced to give a restrictive reading of a criminal statute(!)  Nice work, Cindy.

01.10.06 (OIDS) steamrolled the State in the Golden case, reported above, and convinced the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals to overrule prior case law and establish structural error in a class of cases that very easily could have been held to be subject to harmless error review; and I must stress that this is not just appellate mumbo-jumbo, but rather a very significant change in the law and a major shift (in my opinion) in the mode of analysis employed by the Court when evaluating claims for harmless error.  Very nice work, Cindy!
