in the McNeil case, particularly good result in calling out experienced policeman on evidentiary harpoons; they get away with too much of that sort of thing as it is and it takes tenacious advocacy to get a result like this, particularly when the trial lawyer was vigilant in making the record and the trial court actually admonished the jury twice(!)
OIDS, winner of this years OCDLA Thurgood Marshall award for appellate advocacy, shows us why she deserves it with the huge win in the Johnson case, reported above---reversal for new trial of an LWOP sentence in a trafficking case(!) That is strong stuff. Terrific work, Gail!
