CLEVELAND COUNTY
/ The whole county gets the kudos this week! I don't have many details because I was simply unable to contact all the winners, but it started on August 15 with Sarah Evans and Debi Loeffelholz winning a jury trial in a juvenile case where client was charged with Rape I. Then, just two days later, on August 17, two separate jury trials were held and the State went down in flames in BOTH, courtesy of Steve Stice, Norman, and Mike Gassaway, OKC. Both cases were A & B, but I don't have many details. Cleveland County has always had the reputation of being jury trial friendly in criminal cases, but this is ridiculous. Three winners in one week doesn't happen very often (ever?) and this comes on the heels of the very high profile win by Garvin earlier in the year in the Nebraska football player case. Outstanding!
