United States v. Ingle,
No. 06-5091 (10th Cir., July 5, 2006) (Unpublished): Bail; Federal: Ingle entered a guilty plea to a charge of Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The District Court held that this was a "crime of violence" and thus Ingle must be detained pending sentencing. HELD: a violation of 922(g)(1) is not a crime of violence under the statutory definition and the District Court is REVERSED(!) The panel noted a circuit split on this issue but sided with the majority.
